A note on our testing routine: We put our new (or at least new to us) products on the ’to be tested’ shelf. Our sales staff are encouraged to take a product home and test it at their leisure, the product is theirs to keep. We ask only that they give us a written review of the product. (It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it!). We do occasionally ask non-staff members to test, but try to keep the circle small so that we have the same authors testing a number of products.
I-Vibe Rabbit - By Nicole
A little background on Nicole: Nicole is in her late twenties and single, she has been living with her boyfriend for two years and has no immediate plans for children. Nicole has helped us with several reviews in the last year.
My boyfriend calls me his ’bunny girl’, not in reference to my looks or to Playboy but to my growing collection of ’Rabbit style’ vibrators. I have now reviewed the Jack Rabbit (also known as the Pearl Rabbit) and the I-Vibe Rabbit and would be very open to reviewing some more (hint! hint!).
I am a huge fan of the Jack Rabbit and was intrigued when these great looking new combination vibes were put out on the testing shelf. I begged to test one of them as I had done the test on the original Jack Rabbit and could give some perspective.
When I got home with my new toy my boyfriend Brian was just as intrigued by it’s looks as I was. I normally test toys when Brian is out playing golf, but he really wanted to play with this one. I took the toy out of its box, I could immediately appreciate the quality of this vibe. It is made of silicone, so it does not have that new rubber smell, it is totally odorless and is supposed to last much longer than rubber or jelly. I put the batteries in and started pressing buttons.
With function one the rabbit ears provide a steady vibration, controlled by its own ’up/down’ intensity buttons, the pearls swirl around the shaft and the head rotates, controlled by another set of buttons. There are LED lights on the controller to indicate what level each function is at, from mild to very wild.
With function two the rabbit ears provide a steady but intermittent vibration, the pearls move around and the head rotates clockwise, then counter clockwise.
With function three the rabbit ears provide pulses, they start slow, speed up, stop, start again, the pearls move around the shaft and the head moves quickly back and forth.
Brian wanted to drive, I think it was the flashing LED lights on the controller, it looks like a remote control!. We tried function one first, the power of this vibrator took my breath away. I had Brian switch to function two, I wanted to try all the functions before I came. Function two, well it makes me horny just thinking about it, the beads were massaging the entrance to my pussy, the head was moving around inside me and those rabbit ears were teasing me mercilessly with the start, stop, start, stop. I could not take it any more, I reached down to wrestle control from Brian and turn the damn thing up!. I had a huge orgasm and then enjoyed the greatest sex with Brian as I was so sensitized by the I-Vibe.
I have tried all the functions many times since then and have found that for me that intermittent buzz of function two just drives me wild. I have a number of girlfriends who swear by function three, but function two is my favorite.
I don’t use my Jack Rabbit at all any more, don’t get me wrong, the Jack Rabbit is a great vibrator. However it has been eclipsed by the I-Vibe Rabbit, aside from the my favorite intermittent vibe function there is also one important improvement over the Jack Rabbit. Sometimes in the height of passion I will push the Jack Rabbit deeper inside me and then find that the vibrating Rabbit has been forced up and no longer touches my clitoris. This never happens with the better designed more pliable I-Vibe. Five stars!
